Empty Easter
by Sarah Dart
An “Empty Easter” message for the kids
EMPTY – a word we have been fearing lately. EMPTY shelves at the store. EMPTY classrooms. EMPTY church buildings. EMPTY toilet paper dispensers, for goodness sakes!!! Whatever shall we do? I’m not making fun of the current situation, because it is quite serious. I mean it is a pandemic! All the more reason to be thankful for that word…EMPTY.
Today is Easter Sunday. The tomb was EMPTY! We serve a risen Savior. He’s in the world today. That tomb in which Jesus was laid to rest was EMPTY!! Hallelujah! Jesus arose from that grave, so His Holy Spirit can be with us always. He died on the cross for our sins, and He arose to live with us to allow us a peace that passes all understanding. Jesus is with us when we face the EMPTINESS in our lives. Jesus is with us NOW and FOREVER!
Thank you, God!
