A Hero message for the kids
You’ve probably heard a lot about “heroes” during this Corona Virus pandemic. Back in my day (here I go again showing my age), heroes were Superman, The Lone Ranger, Batman (I loved Batman), Mighty Mouse, even Underdog. This pandemic has certainly improved our perspective on who the real heroes are. So many REAL people have proven their bravery and honor in fighting and dealing with this pandemic! I’ll bet you can think of many heroes right here in our own community.
So…. speaking of heroes… May 16, 2020 is a special day to recognize another group of REAL heroes—the American servicemen and women. The third Saturday in May is Armed Forces Day. Many countries have a special day to recognize the men and women serving in their military forces. In the United States, we honor those currently serving and all those who have served in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, and National Guard. These men and women are and have been there to protect our country throughout many a threat—including this current pandemic. Let’s salute those in the Armed Forces and be thankful for their service. SALUTE! God bless them all!!
